Tuesday’s term costs less because there’s no class on Melbourne Cup Day. Both totals include the $15 Explorers Pack, with a tote bag, Explorer Journal and sticker sheet.

Our Term 4 Themes
Shell Seekers and Sand Makers
Week 1
Tuesday 13th October &
Wednesday 14th October
Shells to discover, sand to sift and beach worlds to build! We’ll search for hidden treasures, explore shell patterns and knead sand into soft playdough. Children can roll, squash and press their discoveries into the dough, creating seaside scenes before taking home some sandy playdough to keep exploring.
Nature Texture Rangers
Week 2
Tuesday 20th October &
Wednesday 21st October
Soft, scratchy, smooth or bumpy—what will we find? Our Nature Texture Rangers will explore mystery touch bags and head outside to discover nature’s different textures. Back at our making tables, children will arrange wool, bark, leaves and other tactile treasures into their own nature texture plate to take home.
Caterpillar to Butterfly
Week 3
Tuesday 27th October &
Wednesday 28th October
From a wriggly caterpillar to a fluttering butterfly! Inspired by The Very Hungry Caterpillar, we’ll hunt for colourful pretend fruit, crawl, curl up and spread our wings through imaginative movement. Children will paint and decorate their own butterfly mask to take home.
Nature by Numbers
Week 4
Wednesday 4th November
No Tuesday classes on 3rd November due to the Melbourne Cup Day public holiday. Wednesday classes will run as usual.
One leaf, two petals, three big stirs! Numbers come to life as children count natural treasures, match quantities and mix their own pretend nature soup. There’ll be scooping, stirring, clapping and jumping, plus a nature collage number to decorate and take home.
Dinosaur Fossil Makers
Week 5
Tuesday 10th November &
Wednesday 11th November
Stomp in, mix it up and leave your mark! Children will mix and knead salt dough with their grown-up, then press dinosaur shapes and footprints into their own pretend fossils. With dinosaur movement games along the way, it’s a morning of making and discovery, with a fossil to take home and dry.
Busy Bees
Week 6
Tuesday 17th November &
Wednesday 18th November
There’s a buzz at Wonderhood! We’ll flutter between flowers, carry pretend pollen back to the hive and use droppers to collect nectar. Through movement and sensory play, children will explore the busy world of bees before creating their own bee to take home.
I Spy Club
Week 7
Tuesday 24th November &
Wednesday 25th November
Binoculars ready! Our I Spy Club is heading out to discover the treasures hiding in plain sight. Children will decorate their own collecting box, follow picture clues and search for fallen leaves, feathers and other nature finds. Their finished box and picture checklist come home, ready for the next adventure.
Bush Market
Week 8
Tuesday 1st December &
Wednesday 2nd December
Grab a basket and let’s play shops! Children will choose wooden fruit and vegetables using picture shopping lists, scoop rice and pasta, and explore the balance scales. We’ll take turns shopping, weighing and delivering, discovering what happens when we add a little more or a little less.
The Lost Reindeer
Week 9

Wednesday 9th December
A note from Santa, a trail of clues and one missing reindeer! We’ll follow the horseshoe trail. Children will turn their own handprint into a reindeer painting to take home, a keepsake from our final week of term.
Hello Sunshine
Catch-up Class
Tuesday 15th December &
Wednesday 16th December
Let’s welcome summer with splashing, colour and discovery! Children will drip and pour water over nature ice blocks, watching leaves and petals emerge as the ice melts. We’ll move with sunshine and rain-inspired scarf play, then paint a wooden sun ornament to take home.
Term 4 families can use their one complimentary catch-up place for a class missed during the term. Booking is essential and places are subject to availability.

Wonderhood is held at Harkaway Community Hall.

Yes. Wonderhood is a parent-and-child class, so a parent, grandparent or carer stays for the full session.

Wear clothes you don’t mind getting messy. We spend time outdoors in most weather, so please bring a warm jacket, raincoat and boots when it’s wet and cold. And in warmer months, please bring a hat, sunblock water bottle etc

Yes. Book when you’re ready to start and the price will adjust for the classes remaining. Term bookings cannot be reserved now to begin in a later week. If you would like to book one particular date in advance, choose a casual class instead.

Yes! Babies and younger siblings who aren’t joining in are very welcome to come along in a pram or carrier while you enjoy the class with your older child.
